Stop taking advice from the super successful
“You need holistic, balanced drive” is pushed by people who already benefitted from their resentment-fueled obsession for half a decade.

Hey everyone,
Successful people share bad advice. They talk about their habits now. Balance. Long walks. Early bedtimes. Graceful work. No resentment. No obsession.
Sounds nice. But it’s not what got them there.
They forget their past. They share their current routine, not their old grind. You need different tools to start than to finish. You climb a mountain with grit, not ease.
Years ago, I started my business. I chased big names’ advice. They said balance wins. So, I cut hours. I took breaks. I stalled. My business froze. Then I learned their real story. They worked long days. They obsessed. They used pain to push forward. I copied that instead. I worked hard. I focused. My business grew.
Successful people hide their early hustle. They share polished habits. That’s like a rich person saying police aren’t needed. They already won. You’re still starting.
Ask this instead. What did they do at your stage? Not now. Back then. That’s the path to your wealthy life. Faith. Family. Focus. Finances. Freedom.
Why It Matters
You build your life with the right tools for now. Not their endgame. Early wins come from grit, not balance. Use your pain. Your drive. Your hunger. That fuels your start. Later, you grow into ease. But don’t skip the hard part. It builds your faith, sharpens your focus, and sets up your freedom.
Let’s Talk
What old-school habit from a successful person inspires you? Or what grit are you using to push forward? Hit reply. I read every one. I might share some, with your okay, next time.
To your wealthy life,
— John

This is absolutely true, everyone wants to enjoy their espresso before they are willing to grind the beans.
I’m often inspired by the sort of “Silicon Valley” mindset, thinking of the late nights sleeping on the floor mentality that put most the software we use every day in our hands so we can lay in bed and scroll. I haven't seen anyone cruise into the kind of success I want to see.
Yes, the unseen hours, months, and often decades of planting, watering, and weeding before the harvest is there to enjoy.
